Overview of Incoming Orders From Sales Channels

E-commerce enables reaching customers through additional channels.

It has a wider product portfolio, superior service, and ships products to clients' homes and companies extremely easily.

In many cases however, the typical customer journey is as follows: after visiting the site via a dedicated landing page, the user searches for desired products on category and product detail pages, adds them to the cart, and submits an order via the checkout.

Ironically, most user experiences end here as well: after completing an order, the buyer is greeted with an impersonal confirmation page. They subsequently receive a confirmation email, and the story is brought to an end.

Platforms often dabble in subsequent steps and miss out on a big opportunity. Customers highly appreciate fast delivery and are very keen to stay informed about any progress on their order.

Order management obviously is an important tool to improve outreach and customer satisfaction but it is also a very powerful way to improve your internal efficiency.

The huge amount of requirements can only be met by using automated solutions. That will lead to both reduction of costs per order and in cases like the one mentioned above, it will also lead to vastly improved satisfaction of employees.

Incoming Orders from Sales Channels: An Overview

CommerceCore™ sales module provides a way to track and manage orders from different sources. These sources can be, for example, a website, or a physical store.

The CommerceCore™ Sales module provides you a separate window for managing all the Sales orders generated from different sales channels.

CommerceCore™ automatically captures your orders and prepares them in a unified view for subsequent processing. For viewing and managing this window, you can go to the Orders tab of the Sales module where you can view the Orders menu.

The Sales Orders window helps manage and keep track of every Sales Order, their numbers, order dates, websites, customers, salespeople, next activities, companies, total amounts, invoice status, and more. This is all based on the requirement in which the Sales Orders are being used.

Additionally, the Sales Orders window can be used for different types of Sale Orders such as quotes, orders, shipments, invoices, and so on.

Users have the ability to view Sales Order information in multiple ways such as by list view or Kanban view.

The orders from each sales channel are tracked separately. This makes it easy to see how much revenue each source is generating and which channels are most profitable.

CommerceCore™ allows you to chat with the Salesperson directly from this window. For doing this, all you need to do is to simply click on the photograph of the Salesperson. Then you will be displayed with the chat box as highlighted in the below image.

You can also schedule the next activity by clicking on the Next Activity option that you can view next to Salesperson.

A new window will appear when you click on any of the order's details. Here Order information may be examined in a detail view, which also allows for order modification.

Using Group By, you can group your records by Sales Person that made them, or Customer (all records made for the same customer). Here you can also add additional filtering using the Order Date, or you can add Custom Group to see only records for that group.

To save time, use the Favorites filtering where you can save your current searching, use it as a default next time or share with other users.

Importing orders using CVS files

In addition to automated order imports from stores through API, orders may be imported from your ecommerce store to the CommerceCore™ back end using CSV files.

Clicking on the Import Records from Favorites, you will be navigated to upload the file and import.
